VHI Release Five New Plans

Vhi Healthcare will release 5 new plans on 1 August 2011. These are PMI 11 11 (€871 per adult), PMI 12 11 (€786.66 per adult), PMI 14 11 (€862 per adult), PMI 16 11 (€950 per adult) and PMI 17 11 (€702.22 per adult).
PMI 11 11 gives cover for a private room in a public hospital and a semi-private room in a private hospital with a €125 private hospital inpatient and day-patient excess. There is 80% cover for listed orthopaedic and opthalmic procedures in private hospitals. There is also 80% cover for cardiac and special procedures in hi-tech hospitals with a €125 excess. There are significant outpatient benefits, which typically provide cover for €25 x 7 visits for outpatient practitioners, with a €50 outpatient excess per person.There is also a Wellness Programme which covers screening, coaching and counselling.
PMI 12 11 gives similar inpatient cover to PMI 11 11, but there is 100% cover for hi-tech cardiac and special procedures with a €250 inpatient excess and a €150 outpatient excess per person.
PMI 14 11 gives similar cover to PMI 12 11 but there is a €75 inpatient and day-patient private hospital excess and a €1 outpatient excess per person. Listed orthopaedic and opthalmic procedures in private hospitals are covered 100% in the Beacon hospital.
PMI 16 11 gives similar cover to PMI 12 11 but there is a €75 inpatient and day-patient private hospital excess and a €50 outpatient excess per person.
PMI 17 11 gives similar cover to PMI 12 11 but there is a €150 inpatient and day-patient private hospital excess and a €25 outpatient excess per person. Listed orthopaedic and opthalmic procedures in private hospitals are not covered in hi-tech hospitals. Hi-tech hospital cover is limited to cardiac procedures in the Beacon, Hermitage and Galway Clinic. There is limited outpatient cover, which typically provide cover for €25 x 4 visits for outpatient practitioners. A Lifestages Screening Programme replaces the Wellness Programme.
